2009-10 Youth Hockey Pre-Games
The Red Wings are proud to host youth hockey games prior to most 2009-10 home games. These games give Mini-Mite through Bantam teams the chance to skate on the home ice of the 11-time Stanley Cup champions.
Teams that are selected to participate in a youth hockey pre-game purchase tickets to that night's Red Wings game in order to stay and enjoy the game after their youth game. If the Red Wings game permits, four skaters (three for Mini-Mite teams) and a goalie from each team are chosen to participate in a shootout during the intermission of the Red Wings game. These players experience what it's like to be a professional hockey player and skate in front of a crowd of up to 20,000 fans.
If you are interested in participating in a Red Wings' Youth Hockey Pre-Game, please fill out the application here. Please note that due to the demand of these games, filling out an application does not guarantee you a spot in the program. Please also note that the Red Wings will schedule your opponent from our waiting list, please do not request a specific team to play against.
