Coach’s Visit
Head coach Mike Babcock hosts a patient from Children’s Hospital of Michigan and his/her guardian before most home games. In each visit, the child meets with Coach for 10-15 minutes an hour and a half before the puck drops to start the game. His guest also receives a goody bag full of giveaway items and watches the game from Coach’s seats in the handicap-accessible row of the lower bowl.
Coach has hosted over 180 visits since he started coaching the Wings in 2005-06.
Guests are determined by Children’s Hospital of Michigan staff. If you have a child who is a patient there, please talk to your social worker to see if this program is an option for your child.
