Rules and Regulations

PERIOD: Contest begins at 12:00 pm (noon) Eastern Time (EST) on February, 24, 2012 and ends at 8:00 pm EST on March 21, 2012.  
ELIGIBILITY: Contest is open to residents of Michigan, at least 21 years old at the time of entry (“Entrant”). Employees and their immediate family (spouse, parent, sibling, children, grandparent or grandchildren) and/or household members of individuals employed by Anheuser-Busch LLC, the Detroit Red Wings, Inc., The National Hockey League and its member teams, and all of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, advertising and promotional agencies, are ineligible to participate.

ENTRY: Limit one (1) entry per Entrant/Team.

Eligible entrants should visit  to fill out personal and team information and upload a link to a YouTube video that explains or illustrates why your recreational hockey team should have the opportunity to play a scrimmage hockey game against the Detroit Red Wing Alumni.  The deadline for video submissions is at 8:00 pm EST on March 9, 2012.

Videos must be in between thirty (:30) and sixty seconds (:60) in length. Entrant must have permission from any person appearing in the video to use their likeness in this contest.  The video must be original, unpublished and the sole property of Entrant.  Detroit Red Wings, Inc. in its sole discretion, may post the submitted videos on any owned or operated websites provided that the video does not contain lewd, inappropriate, threatening or obscene, defamatory or libelous images or content.  In addition, by submitting a video, Entrants agree that the video does not infringe on the intellectual property or other rights of any third party, does not violate any laws, nor does it contain a virus.

By Submitting any Entry, Entrant hereby grants permission for the Entry to be posted on any and all Detroit Red Wings, Inc. owned or operated media platforms and/or websites (including, but not limited to, TV, Internet, Twitter account or Facebook).  

CONTEST DETAILS:  Entries may be submitted starting February, 24, 2012 at 12:00 pm EST. The last day to submit an entry is March, 9, 2012 at 8:00 pm EST.

Selection of Finalists: Members of the Detroit Red Wings, Inc. staff and Anheuser-Busch will select the top five (5) entries based on the criteria of creativity using the Bud Light and Detroit Red Wings brands, dedication and passion for the game of hockey and sense of teamwork.

Fan Voting: The top five (5) entries will have their video posted on Red Wings TV where fans can vote for their favorite submission starting March 14, 2012 at 12:00 pm EST. Voting will close on March 21, 2012 at 8:00 pm EST. The video submission with the most fan votes will be the winning team.

Winners: The primary contact of the winning team will be notified via telephone on March 22, 2012 at 3:00 pm EST.

GENERAL CONDITIONS: The Detroit Red Wings, Inc. reserve the right to cancel or modify the contest if fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond the Detroit Red Wings, Inc.’s reasonable control impairs the integrity of the contest, as determined by the Detroit Red Wings, Inc.’s sole discretion.

The winning team must provide their own transportation to and from Joe Louis Arena and any hotel accommodations if necessary. 

Participants must also provide their own hockey equipment. 

RELEASE/LIMITS OF LIABILITY: By entering this contest each entrant agrees to release and hold harmless Anheuser-Busch LLC, Detroit Red Wings, Inc., The National Hockey League and its Member Clubs, their parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, employees and all other associated with the development and execution of this contest from and against any losses, damages, rights, claim or cause of action of any kind arising, in a whole or in part, directly or indirectly, out of participation in the contest or resulting directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize awarded in connection with the Contest, including without limitation personal injury, death, and/or property damage, as well as claims based on publicity rights, defamation, and/or invasion of privacy.

PRIZE DEFINED: Scrimmage hockey game against the Detroit Red Wing Alumni Association at Joe Louis Arena. Players TBD. Date of game to be determined by the Detroit Red Wings. The winning team will need to provide their own hockey equipment and transportation. Winners will also receive Bud Light and Detroit Red Wings gift bags and customized jerseys. All participants must sign a release and waiver prior to participating in the game.
