A big league right winger who could scare his share of goals, Michel Bergeron scored 125 goals in three seasons with the QMJHL's Sorel Black Hawks. He was chosen 63rd overall by the Detroit Red Wings in the 1974 amateur draft and scored 10 goals in 25 games as a rookie in 1974-75, while seeing the majority of his playing time in the AHL with the Virgina Wings. Bergeron scored 21 times in 1976-77 and spent some time with the CHL's Kansas City Blues before being traded to the New York Islanders early in 1977-78. He scored nine goals for his new club but the team was deep at the forward position and Bergeron's spent some time with the CHL's Fort Worth Texans. Following a trade to the Washington Capitals, he played 30 games in 1978-79 then spent the remainder of his playing time in the minors with stops in the IHL with Milwaukee and AHL with Nova Scotia.
