Weight: 185
Shoots: Right
Born: Apr 11, 1928

Gord Haidy had a long, if not illustrious, career in professional hockey. He began his junior career during the 1944-45 season, and divided his time between teams in the OHA Jr., the IHL, and the AHL for the next five seasons.

He got his shot at the big leagues at the end of the 1949-50 season when Detroit called him up from the Indianpolis Capitols during the playoffs. He played one game for the Red Wings, who went on to win the Stanley Cup. Haidy returned to the minors the following season, but at the opening of the 1951-52 year he refused to report to Indianapolis and was suspended for the entire season.

Haidy never returned to the Detroit organization but played hockey until 1964. He played for the Windsor Bulldogs the majority of that time.
