Height: 5' 11"
Weight: 170
Shoots: Left
Born: Jul 24, 1933
Birthplace: Montreal, QC, Canada

Defenseman Gord Hollingworth played with the Chicago Black Hawks and Red Wings in the 50s. He was a solid positional player who took the body well and could move the puck up to his forwards with little difficulty.

The Montreal native was a mainstay on the Junior Canadiens for four years. In 1953-54 he made his pro debut with the QHL's Montreal Royals then moved up to Chicago the next season. The feisty rookie notched 12 points and 135 penalty minutes but was included in an off-season deal with Detroit that was built around John McCormack and Tony Leswick.

Hollingworth was a solid role player on the strong Red Wings for most of the next three seasons. He also saw action in three playoff contests in 1956 but, ultimately did not fit into the club's plans. The burly rearguard spent the last 4 1/2 years of his career in the minors and won a Calder Cup with the Hershey Bears in 1958.
