Right winger Ken Mann played one game with the Detroit Red Wings in the mid-70s. Although his NHL career was short-lived, he scored more than his share of goals in junior and the minors.

Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Mann began his junior career with the local Red Wings of the OHA then spent a year with the Windsor Spitfires of the SOJHL in 1972-73. Undrafted by an NHL club, Mann joined the Flint Generals of the IHL for the 1973-74. Before the end of the year he was traded to the Port Huron Flags but that disruption didn't prevent him from scoring 32 goals. The next year he signed a minor pro deal with the Virginia Wings of the AHL, Detroit's farm team.

Mann was signed by the Detroit Red Wings prior to the 1974-75 season and played one NHL contest for them. He was relegated to the Kalamazoo Wings of the IHL and notched 39 goals. After one more year in the minors, the veteran forward played a season with the senior Brantford Alexanders before retiring in 1978.
