Acquired: Traded to Detroit by Boston for Dutch Hiller and $5,000 on November 24, 1941.
Center Pat McReavy enjoyed a 14-year professional hockey career in several different leagues, including the NHL. At 17, he joined the OHA's St. Michael's Majors. He also played hockey in northern Ontario with the Copper Cliff Redmen and the Sudbury Wolves of the NOHA.

McReavy had the honour of representing Canada at the 1938 World Championships, scoring two goals and three points in seven games. He then turned pro, playing parts of four seasons with the NHL's Boston Bruins, appearing in 21 games before being traded to the Detroit Red Wings for Dutch Hiller and cash in November 1941. During his 34 games with the Wings, McReavy notched five goals and 13 points.

In November 1945, McReavy was traded by the Red Wings to the St. Louis Flyers of the AHA. Although he enjoyed two successful years in Missouri, he missed Owen Sound and decided to return home. In the autumn of 1947 he joined the Owen Sound Mercurys and remained with the organization until retiring in 1951 after winning the Allan Cup championship. McReavy had been one of the team leaders en route to the championship, scoring seven goals and 24 points in 16 games.
