Weight: 170
Shoots: Left
Born: Feb 20, 1955
Birthplace: Laverlochere, QC, Canada

Drafted: PHI / 1975 NHL Amateur Draft
Round: 3rd (54th overall)
The second choice (54th overall) of the Philadelphia Flyers in the 1975 NHL draft, Ritchie was a graduate of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's Sorel Black Hawks.

In his three years with the Black Hawks, Ritchie had seasons of 42, 43, 95 and 111 points before he joined the Richmond Robins of the American Hockey League for the 1975-76 season.

Ritchie spent the majority of the 1976-77 season with the American Hockey League's Springfield Indians, before making his NHL debut with the Flyers that same season. Playing in only one game with the Flyers, Ritchie was held pointless and midway through the season dealt to the Detroit Red Wings.

Upon his arrival in Detroit, Ritchie was known as an excellent positional player and penalty killer. In his 17 games with the Red Wings during the 1976-77 season, Ritchie accounted for eight points on six goals and two assists.

Looking forward to a fresh start in Detroit, Bob Ritchie spent the majority of his 1977-78 season with the Central Hockey League's Kansas City Red Wings, while playing in only eleven games with Detroit.

When Bob Ritchie stepped away from the game following the 1977-78 season, he had played in 29 career NHL games, accounting for eight goals and four assists.
