Frank Steele played one game for the Detroit Falcons in 1930-31. He was a versatile player who could function on right-wing and defence during a long career spent mostly in the minors.

The native of Niagara Falls, Ontario began his pro career in 1926 after signing as a free agent with the Hamilton Tigers of the Can-Pro League. He went on to spent several years in the IAHL with the Detroit Olympics and Windsor Bulldogs and received a one game recall to the NHL. In 1937 he joined Detroit Holzbaugh of the MOHL then spent three years with the city's Pontiacs before retiring in 1940.
