Journeyman right winger Marc Rodgers played 21 games for the Detroit Red Wings in 1999-00. He was a solid goal scorer in junior and the minors who could also handle the rough going in the corners and the slot.
Born in Shawville, Quebec, Rodgers accumulated 107 goals in four years with the Granby Bisons and Verdun College Francais. He then toiled in the ECHL and IHL before signing as a free agent with the Detroit Red Wings in 1998. Rodgers was an effective veteran on the AHL's Adirondack Red Wings and was called up to aid the injury-riddled Wings in 1999-00 before returning to the minors.
