In June 1993, he was signed as a free agent by Detroit and reported to the Adirondack Red Wings. He played two full seasons in the AHL and in 1995-96 was rewarded with a chance to make his NHL debut when he appeared in four games with Detroit. He stayed with the Wings' organization, playing in six games in 1996-97 and 21 in 1997-98 when he was part of the Stanley Cup winning team. He came back for part of the following year with Detroit and was eventually traded to Tampa Bay. He made five appearances for the Lightning that season and 24 in 1999-2000, his last season of professional play to date.
