Blainville-Boisbriand’s captain now trails Halifax rearguard Konrad Abeltshauser by one point in the league’s defensive scoring race. Ouellet also leads the league in shots from the blue line with 69 and is tied for first in both power play goals (3) and points (10). Rogers Sportsnet columnist Patrick King cites Ouellet as having a strong chance of making Team Canada for this year’s IIHF World Junior Championships.
