One of only two unbeaten teams remaining in the USHL, Lincoln has won all six of their games thus far this season by a combined score of 23-10. Currently ranking 2nd in the league in penalty minutes with 41, McKee scored his first goal of the season last Friday during a 4-3 home win over Fargo.

Recently named the Stars’ co-captain, McKee has established himself as a leader in the locker room according to Lincoln Head Coach Chad Johnson.

"You certainly expect any second-year player to come in and take more of a leadership role but Mike has gone above and beyond what we expected," says Johnson. "He leads by example not only on the ice, but in the weight room and community as well. He'll do whatever it takes to help his team and his fellow players feed off of that and raise their level of play because of it. It's no surprise that he was a unanimous selection to wear the 'C' this year."
